Married Students

Since the married students are expected to bring their immediate families when they come to Solusi University, the University rents one or two bedroom apartments which include a sitting room combined with the kitchen. The apartments are available for occupancy for no less than two semesters, and preference is given to those planning to stay longer. Rent shall be charged for each period of occupancy including periods of vacations.

Most apartments are furnished with a table, beds, mattresses, chairs, a two-plate electric cooker, a bookshelf, a chest of drawers, a wardrobe, a rake, a hoe, an axe and a slasher; and these items must not be moved from one apartment to another without written permission of the Dean of Students or the Mayor. Students are expected to supply their own bed linens, cooking utensils, cutlery and dishes.

A house deposit to cover accidental breakages or furniture and window panes, the defacing of walls and any other property damage or loss, will be required before a student is granted occupancy of a house. When a student vacates a house any repair and/or replacement costs will be charged to the student’s account and any credit remaining on deposit will be refunded.
Apartments are assigned only to applicants who have been officially approved as full time students by Solusi University. The Administration of Solusi University reserves the right to assign apartments according to family, age and size. Married students need to bring their families with them, but they should be immediate family members only.

Block Release Accommodation

Since the hostels are vacated during semester holidays, all students during the Block Release session are accommodated in the hostels.
